How the sundae bar works.

Four steps from "we're throwing a party" to "everyone's holding a sundae." No fuss, no muss — that's the whole point.

Pick your flavors.

Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Cappuccino Crunch lead the lineup. Strawberry, Banana, Coffee Espresso, Raspberry Sorbet round it out. Custom flavors on request.

We roll up.

Our team arrives early to set up the decorated sundae bar and pre-scoop every cup. Top 10, Top 20, or the Deluxe Top 35 spread — you choose the scale.

Guests build sundaes.

A generous 4-ounce scoop in an 8-ounce cup leaves plenty of room for toppings. Guests come back as many times as they like — just bring a clean spoon.

We clean up.

When the last sundae's served, the booth packs itself out. You go back to your guests. No fuss, no muss — and definitely no melted ice cream on your floor.

Our Story

A treasure of pleasure in every spoonful.

We serve ice cream and sorbet to over 100 restaurants, hotels, and country clubs in the Los Angeles area. Great chefs and pastry chefs trust us to make their desserts something special.

We make our own super-premium ice cream almost every day (we never rest). Our scoops are a generous 4oz portion — about the size of a tennis ball — served in an 8oz paper cup. You'll have plenty of room for the 10, 20, or 35 toppings of your choice. And guests are welcome to come back as many times as they'd like to get more toppings (just as long as they use a spoon).

SCOOPS LA is the pop-up ice cream shop. We bring the ice cream parlor to you. We've served hot fudge sundaes, shakes, floats, splits and more to corporations, television and movie sets, and private parties across Los Angeles. No one else caters an ice cream social quite like SCOOPS.

Two weeks is the sweet spot — it gives us time to lock in your date, finalize flavors, and confirm the topping setup. We can usually accommodate shorter lead times when our calendar has room, and we've turned around same-week parties more than once. For weddings or 500+ guest events, 4–6 weeks is wiser.
We cater across LA County — from Malibu and the Westside to Pasadena, the Valley, and the South Bay. Orange County, Ventura, and Santa Barbara are doable with a small travel fee. Outside that radius, get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
Yes. Our sorbets — Raspberry, Blackberry Cabernet, Mango, Passionfruit, Lemon, Pineapple, and more — are made without any milk or cream. We can run a full sundae bar with sorbets only, or mix them alongside our ice creams. Mention any nut allergies or dietary needs when you book and we'll plan the topping setup around them.
Local pickup and same-day LA delivery on dry ice for orders of 6 pints or more. For shipping outside Southern California, send a note with your zip and we'll quote next-day air with insulated packaging. (Heads up: shipping a single pint cross-country costs more than the pint, which is why we don't list it as a standard option.)
For on-site sundae bar catering, 30 guests. Below that, we recommend our Sundae Social In A Box — a self-serve setup we deliver with ice cream, toppings, sauces, cups, and spoons for your smaller gathering. The bar service really sings at 50–250 guests; we've staffed events from 30 up past 1,500.
